RW Series Worm Gearboxes
Compact right-angle reduction with high ratios in a single stage.
Aluminium-bodied worm reduction gearboxes for right-angle drives where space is tight and reduction is high. Hardened and ground worm shaft running against a centrifugally cast bronze wheel, with a self-locking characteristic at higher ratios.

Built for Duty
What separates the RW Series from a general-purpose drive.
Hardened and ground worm
Case-hardened alloy steel worm ground after heat treatment for a consistent contact pattern and quiet running.
Centrifugally cast bronze wheel
Dense, pore-free bronze rim on a cast iron hub carries shock load and beds in without pitting.
Pressure die-cast housing
Ribbed aluminium body dissipates heat and keeps the unit light enough to mount directly on the driven machine.
Universal mounting
Machined feet, output flange and hollow or solid shaft on a single housing — one unit covers most layouts.
Self-locking at high ratio
Ratios above 40:1 resist back-driving, useful on hoists, gates and conveyors that must hold position.
Sealed for life options
Synthetic-filled variants for wash-down and low-maintenance duty where oil changes are impractical.
