EM Series

Electric Motors

Three-phase squirrel cage motors for continuous plant duty.

Foot and flange mounted induction motors in IEC frames, supplied to match the gearbox range or as standalone replacements. Four-pole as standard, with two- and six-pole builds to order, and single-phase motors available alongside the three-phase range. Copper wound, Class F insulated, and available in higher efficiency classes.

Features

Built for Duty

What separates EM Series from a general-purpose drive.

  • Copper wound

Full copper windings for lower losses and a cooler running temperature under sustained load.

  • IE2 and IE3 options

Higher efficiency classes where the duty cycle makes the running cost worth the premium.

  • Dynamically balanced rotor

Balanced rotors keep vibration low, which extends bearing and coupling life downstream.

  • Inverter duty

Suitable for VFD control across the usable speed band, with forced cooling available for low-speed running.

  • Brake motor variants

DC and AC disc brakes for hoisting, indexing and any drive that must stop under load.

  • Matched to the gear range

Supplied pre-matched to RW, RH and RK units so the drive train arrives as one specification.
